The total raised was £184,213, which will now provide vital funds to help the charity care for more people living with a terminal illness.

Sophie Yates, Marie Curie community fund-raiser in North Greater Manchester and South Lancashire, said: “The Great Daffodil Appeal is Marie Curie’s biggest annual fund-raiser and we would like to say a big thank you to everyone in Lancashire, especially our fantastic fund-raising group in Chorley which raised £3,000. Their generosity means we raised a fantastic amount and saw more people are wearing daffodils. Every penny from our daffodil pins really does count towards the care and support that Marie Curie is able to provide for all those affected by terminal illness.”
