Enjoying retirement in a seaside village on the Lancashire coast, John Gallagher and his wife Muriel had begun to feel a little isolated and were ready for a move.
Searching the internet for new homes in the region, John found the ‘perfect location’ in Chorley at The Meadows, Arley Homes’ development of traditionally-styled family homes in Coppull.
Within weeks, he and wife Muriel had set sail on a new adventure, thanks to Arley’s super quick part exchange scheme.
The couple, originally from Knott-End-on-Sea, used to own a car accessories business and still enjoy the thrill of the open road, travelling and exploring the British Isles.
John said: “We love travelling and discovering different parts of the country but the location of our old home made it difficult even to get to the motorway.
“At the same time, we both enjoy the buzz of the city and being able to pop into town without it being a military operation.
“The location of The Meadows and the proximity to the motorway, Chorley and Preston really appealed to us.
“It offers us the best of both worlds, a countryside location with major towns and cities on our doorstep.
“The house itself is really stunning, the brickwork, fixtures and fittings are all of the highest standard with no expense spared.
“What also really appealed to us was the individuality of the house and the character of the development.
“Each house seems to have its own look and feel, a rarity in many new build developments.”
The Gallaghers traded in their Knott End home in a part exchange deal, one of many options being offered by leading North West housbuilder Arley Homes.
John explained: “We were keen to move, but thought we’d be waiting a long time for our house to sell, especially in the current market.
“Arley came to our rescue and talked us through their part exchange scheme.
“I had a figure in mind for the house and Arley made us an offer we couldn’t refuse.
“Before we knew it, we were unpacking boxes in our new home.
“The whole process was handled so efficiently, it really took the stress out of moving house.
“The team at Arley were incredibly helpful; nothing was too much trouble, something that has continued well after we moved into the property.”
In welcoming the Gallaghers to their new home John Cosgrave, managing director of Arley Homes, said: “I’m delighted we were able to help John and Muriel make the move to The Meadows, it’s great to know they are happy in their new home.
“The location of all of our developments is always a key consideration for us.
“I’m thrilled John and Muriel are now able to do the things they want to do without restriction
“Chorley and the surrounding area offer a wealth of amenities, great schools, excellent public transport and road links.
“If you don’t know the area that well, it’s definitely worth exploring.
“The strength of our locations, combined with Arley’s commitment to build quality and classic design make any Arley development a popular choice.”
Just two miles away from The Meadows is Duxbury Manor, Arley’s beautifully landscaped new development of spacious family homes near to the A6 on the southern fringe of Chorley.
These stunning new homes are in a fabulous location in a much sought-after area in close proximity to Duxbury Park.
