Last year it was Chorley Little Theatre, and now it’s the Royal Albert Hall.

X-Factor singing star Jonjo Kerr, who was born and raised in Chorley, will be joining the Military Wives to perform a version of the song ‘In My Dreams’ at this year’s Festival of Remembrance at London’s Royal Albert Hall on November 10.

Jonjo, who serves as a private in Corunna Company 3rd Battalion Yorkshire Regiment, returned from his tour of duty in Afghanistan in September.

The 2011 X Factor finalist first collaborated with The Military Wives on their debut Number One album ‘In My Dreams’.

Fifty members of the Military Wives will take to the stage with Jonjo in front of an audience of 8,000, including members of the Royal Family. It will also be live on BBC One and Radio Two.

Jonjo said: “Being asked to perform at the Royal Albert Hall is a huge honour, I literally can’t express my gratitude for the opportunity. The Royal British Legion is an extremely important charity that helps us all to remember the fallen and thank them for the sacrifice that have made.”

Manager, Dean Maynard said: “This is a huge honour for Jonjo and his regiment. It could not have happened to a nicer man.”
