A salon owner has raised more than £3,000 to help give premature babies the best start in life.
Stephanie Foley, who runs Aromaspa, in Chorley, held a charity dinner at the Best Western Hotel, in Leyland, with proceeds going to the Baby Beat Appeal and Neonatal Unit in Preston.
The event celebrated the salon’s 10-year anniversary, whilst supporting the Neonatal Unit, which supported her when she gave birth to her son Leo nine weeks early.
The 33-year-old, of Buckshaw Village, said: “I was really nervous about the night, but everyone had such an amazing evening. It went so well.
“I did a speech thanking my clients, explaining why it was so important to me to do the evening. I wanted to do something as a way of helping the unit, which helped my five-year-old son when he was born and thought I would combine it with the 10th anniversary of my salon opening.
“I was so proud of what I had achieved and I look forward to another 10 years at Aromaspa.
“On the night, 115 people attended and every client received a personalised gift from myself
“They had a drink on arrival and a lovely two-course meal. All clients said they couldn’t believe the standard of food for such a large amount of people.”
Tea, coffee and fudge were supplied by Wendy Harrison and guests were entertained by singer Liz Long and magician Darren Brand.
Stephanie, who was supported by her husband Simon during the evening, added: “There are so many people to thank. I want to personally mention Leyland Best Western Hotel for its excellent service and Just 4U Weddings who helped with the cheese cart and chocolate fountain, which were both amazing.
“I wish to thank all the companies who donated raffle prizes. Their generosity is much appreciated.
“Overall we raised £3,200, which is fantastic.”
