Animals will swap the farmyard for Astley Park in Chorley on Saturday.

Fishers Mobile Farm, from Charnock Richard, will take along animals including miniature ponies, rabbits, pygmy goats, sheep, ducks, hens, a cockerel, alpacas, a donkey and pig.

They will be on the lawn outside the Coach House from 10am to 4pm.

It is being organised by Chorley Council and is part of a summer programme of events at the park.

Coun Alistair Bradley, council leader, said: “Families told us they really enjoyed meeting all the animals last year so we thought we’d invite them back again this summer.

“As well as the popular farmyard animals who visited us last year, there will be some new additions including some friendly alpacas, and there will also be donkey rides for children, so there will be something for people of all ages to enjoy.
