More motorway misery for drivers as pedestrian closes M6 between Broughton and Lancaster South

Drivers faced more headaches on the M6 at the tea time rush hour after a day of closures caused by a lorry fire just south of junction 32.

Highways England tweeted shortly before 4.15pm that the motorway had been shut between junction 32 (Broughton) and 33 (Lancaster South) because a pedestrian was on the network.

The tweet said: “The M6 has been blocked in both directions between J32 and J33 due to a @LancsPolice led incident due to a pedestrian on the network."
