A murder investigation has been launched after a woman was found dead.
Police were called at around 10.25pm on Tuesday after the body of a woman was found in a bedroom at an address on Hollinshead Street, Chorley.
She can now be named as Gemma Leeming, aged 30.
A post mortem examination carried out today has shown the cause of death was strangulation.
A 39-year-old man from Chorley has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody.
