A hard working and dedicated NHS worker from Buckshaw village has been honoured in the East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust annual staff awards ceremony
Divisional general manager for surgery and anaesthetics Natalie Brockie has received the Leadership Award for her constant support and outstanding service at Royal Blackburn Hospital.
Natalie said: “I love my job and I feel really privileged to win this. Being a leader is a lot easier when you have a fantastic team like I do.”
Fellow colleague Maire Morton, who nominated Natalie for the award, added: “She has provided outstanding leadership since her appointment and has worked extremely hard, yet she always manages to maintain an open door and seeks to empower and motivate her team.”
Natalie is one of 15 winners from departments across all services in the Trust, who honour members of staff annually at the STAR Awards for their dedication and achievements.
The awards were presented at a special event at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel, Clayton Le Moors.
