First airing on October 23 1995, Hollyoaks has turned 28 years old this week and in that time numerous actors and actress from across the county have joined the cast.
Although the soap is set in Chester, this has not stopped the casting director taking a punt on newcomers sporting Lancastrian accents from across Blackpool, Lytham, Preston, Chorley and East Lancashire.
This includes Blackpool actress, Nikki Sanderson who posted on Instagram this week: “Happy Birthday @hollyoaksofficial 28 years young. Proud to have been a part of the family for last 11 years”.
