Jennifer Matthews, and her husband David, are raffling their £590,000 five bedroom family home and Ferrari for just £2 per ticket.

The couple built the house, named Bramble Lodge on Chorley Road, near Addlington, from scratch eight years ago.

Now, the pair, who run an electrical engineering company, have decided to give someone the opportunity to win the home and car.

The coronavirus crisis has made it more difficult for them to sell the house and they need a property that is more manageable to clean and run due to Jennifer’s condition, which is called Ventricular tachycardia and causes a fast and abnormal heart rate.

The 48-year-old, who has two teenage children, Jasmine and James, living in the house also, said the couple are using a platform called Raffall to sell 500,000 tickets by February 14 and generate a winner for them.

All Jennifer and David have to do is advertise the raffle. Jennifer, originally from Wigan, said there was a chance for someone to win a “dream” home and the Ferrari 360 model.

She said: “This wouldn’t just be a step on the property ladder, it would be a dream home and car for someone.

"Of course it would be great if someone locally got this but it’s open to everyone interested.”

People can purchase a ticket by going to the raffall.com website and searching for David Matthews.
