Fire crew remain at scene of Preston school blaze

A fire crew remained at the scene of a Preston school fire this morning as the cause of the blaze was being investigated.

Five fire engines from Preston, Wesham, Fulwood and Bamber Bridge and an aerial ladder platform from Blackpool were called to a fire at Ashton Primary School on Ainsdale Drive, Preston, last night.

Firefighters used two jets, two breathing apparatus and the aerial ladder platform to extinguish the blaze

A Lancashire Fire and Rescue spokesman said one engine remained at the scene damping down.

The cause of the blaze is being investigated
