Massive boost for Hospice after star event

The dedicated team behind this years' ambitious Stars and Cars charity event in Chorley have presented more than £8,000 to Derian House Children's Hospice.

Organisers Mick Croskery and Colin Wilby , with a little help from Optimus Prime, Lightning McQueen, Batman, Stormtrooper’s, Maleficent and Princess Aurora came together at Morrisons in Chorley to hand over the cheque totalling £8209.37

Representatives from the hospice offered a big thank you to the organisers of the special event held in April at Parklands High School, which welcomed more than 1,500 visitors.

A spokesperson for the charity said: “Thankyou to everyone for the fantastic support towards Derian House and also a thank you to all Cosplay people and car owners for their time in supporting both events.”
