Tributes have been paid to a motorcyclist who died following a collision in Leyland.
Motorcyclist, David Ashton, 49, from Leyland (pictured), sadly died after he was involved in a collision on Dunkirk Lane.
Police say the 49-year-old was taken to hospital shortly after the accident at 8:40pm on June 26 but died a short time later.
In a tribute, Mr Ashton's family said: "We are all shocked and devastated by the loss of our brother in such tragic circumstances. David was the most caring, fun-loving and happy man and always had a smile on his face. His passion was riding his motorbike.
"We are a close family and will pull together, and the support and kind words from family and many friends is testament to how much he was loved by all. There is now a void that can never be filled.
"Ride high with the angels bro, and give mum and dad a kiss from us all."
Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward. Sgt Lee Harris from the Road Policing Unit said: “Firstly my thoughts are with the motorcyclist’s family at this incredibly sad and difficult time. They are being supported by specially trained officers.
“If you saw anything that you think could assist with our investigation, please get in touch with us.”
