The hospice at Lostock Hall organised the event for the first time this year and has been overwhelmed by the support it has received from the local community.

Cyclists took part in one of two routes – a challenging 50-mile ride through the Flyde and Wyre Valley, and a fun ‘for all’ 20-mile loop around the Preston Guildwheel.

“The wet weather conditions didn’t seem to dampen people’s spirits and the day was thoroughly enjoyed by all those who attended.“Thank you to everyone who participated to support St Catherine’s and raised funds which will go towards providing specialised palliative care to people who are living with conditions that can be treated but not cured.

“It’s been such a success that we’re already excitedly looking forward to organising the event again next year!”
