Several roads remain closed this morning around the site of the major fire at Winter Hill.
Belmont Road remains closed in both directions between Egerton Road and Scout Road.

It is expected that the road closure will be in place for a couple of days at least, whilst the firefighters deal with the fire which is nearing Belmont Road.
Locals can use Edgerton Road and Longworth Road North but the official diversion is via A675 Belmont Road , A674 Preston Old Road, A6062 Livesey Branch Road, A666 Bolton Road/Blackburn Road.
Some smaller roads around the site of the fire including Rivington Road and Scout Road and Smithills Dean Road are also closed.
And drivers on the M61 have be warned to take care after smoke was said to be blowing across both carriageways between junctions 6 and 8.
At first light, 22 fire engines were called back to the scene to continue with their battle against the raging fire.
Firefighters say they are now focusing on a series of hotspots around the 8km site.
Crews thanked well-wishers for donations and said the support they had received from members of the public has been phenomenal.
A spokesman for the fire service said: "The support and generosity we've received from the people of Lancashire in response to the Winter Hill fire has been overwhelming.
"Thank you to everyone who donated at our Chorley training centre. We have enough supplies now for the foreseeable future and can't thank you enough."
Firefighters are continuing to ask members of the community to stay away from the scene.
