A new housing development in the county won a Mayoral seal of approval.
Shevington house-hunters were welcomed to a show home launch at Taylor Wimpey’s Oakwood Meadows development by Mayor of Wigan Myra Whiteside.
The event saw a host of council members, estate agents and house-hunters gather for the grand opening of both the Stratford and Tarvin show homes.
Anthony Mansfield, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Manchester, said: “We were thrilled that the Mayor was able to join us for the launch of our show homes on this exciting new development.
“The turn-out was great, and we would like to thank everybody who attended.
“It was a fantastic opportunity to showcase our beautiful new show homes as well as the development as a whole, and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive.”
The popular Oakwood Meadows development is surrounded by stunning fields and neighbours Greaves Wood, which is already proving an enviable hot-spot with buyers in the area.
Homes on the development start at £159,995 and with the popular FirstBuy scheme on offer, buyers can benefit from a joint 20 per cent loan from Taylor Wimpey and the government, as well as deposits as low as five per cent.
The new detached show home designs will also be available on the Part Exchange initiative, aimed at existing home-owners struggling to market their own home.
Anthony said: “If there is anybody who did not have chance to come and view our properties at the opening or would like further information on the schemes available, please feel free to come and visit them on-site any time.”
