Rail speed restrictions in Lancashire lifted

Speed restrictions which has caused delays on a major rail route through Lancashire were lifted this afternoon.

Disruption was caused after a lorry collided with a bridge near Lancaster.

The Great Northern Railway Project tweeted tonight: " 5mph railway line speed restriction was lifted at 3pm.

"We’re working on our plan to repair the bridge and reopen Burrow Rd.
