Train delays after man taken to safety

Trains are slow going into a Lancashire railway station after police and an ambulance raced to the scene.

A British Transport Police spokesman said there was a concern for welfare incident at 11.57am this morning at Buckshaw railway Station and as a result trains may be delayed into the station.

The spokesman said a man had been taken to “a place of safety” by Lancashire police as well as the an ambulance being in attendance at the station in Buckshaw Village near Chorley.

No more information could be given by the spokesman although normal train service is set to resume shortly.
