Both were taken to Royal Preston Hospital for treatment.
Police believe a dark-coloured BMW car, travelling in the opposite direction towards Slaidburn, might have been involved in the incident.
The driver of the vehicle failed to stop at the scene.
Sgt Martin Wilcock, of Lancashire Police’s Tactical Operations Unit, said: "We are keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened.
"We know this is a popular route with bikers and believe a large group of riders had just passed when the incident took place.
