BREAKING NEWS: Man from Chorley seriously injured after collision with a horse-drawn cart

A man from Chorley is seriously injured after his moped collided with a horse-drawn cart.

The 22-year-old was taken to Wythenshawe Hospital in South Manchester by air ambulance after the incident at 11.34am in Delph Street, Houghton Green, Warrington.

The man was driving a black Honda moped and his passenger a 21-year-old woman, also from Chorley, suffered minor injuries and was treated by ambulance staff at the scene.

Two women, from Croft, who were travelling in the horse-drawn cart escaped uninjured.

The horse also escaped unharmed.
