Two fire engines attended the scene of a car crash this morning in Chorley.

Crews from Bamber Bridge and Chorley descended upon Blackburn Road in Higher Wheelton at 9:42am after reports of a road traffic collision between two cars.

When they arrived all occupants were out of their vehicles and were were being assessed by paramedics.

There were two casualties taken to hospital for precautionary checks, with crews in attendance for approximately 30 minutes.
