Warnings as more wind and rain set to batter Lancashire
A total of 11 pumps were at the scene, pumping 75 tons of water every minute, as well as repairing flood defences in the village.
The Environment Agency issued a severe flood warning for the area covering part of St Michaels, to the south of the River Wyre.

Hide AdThey said more rain was expected overnight on Wednesday and said in an update on the website: “This will cause river levels to rise again slightly before peaking at around 08:00 on Thursday morning.
“The rise in levels is not currently anticipated to have a significant effect on the current flooding situation in St Michaels, however Environment Agency staff are monitoring this closely and will provide updates should anything change.
“Environment Agency staff are on site in St Michaels, working in coordination with the emergency services as well as borough and county councils.”
As well as the flood risk, the Met Office are warning of wind and rain on Wednesday night.
A yellow warning of rain and wind is in place for Lancashire on Wednesday evening, with a yellow warning for rain also in place for Thursday.
