We're sprinkling a little happiness all the way from the USA
Harnessing the idea of US group The Happiness Sprinkling Project, Rob Christopher from Leyland organised a group of well-wishers to brighten up the people of Preston’s day.
Armed with smiley-face t-shirts and signs, the 46-year-old and his pals stood on the roadside on Ribbleton Lane to spread some joy.

“Apparently it has never been done outside the US so this was the first European sprinkling of happiness.
“The group sent me the t-shirts and the signs and we got a really good reaction.
“It’s just about putting a smile on people’s faces.
“We got lots of honking and we even had a few people wanting to get involved.

“It sends the signs and t-shirts to anyone who wants them so they can spread happiness in their area before it moves on to its next town or city.
And now Rob is recruiting for his next project.
He said: “I’m just gathering numbers at the minute and then we’ll set a location. If anyone wants to get involved either go to the Facebook page ‘The Happiness Sprinkling Project’ or email me on [email protected].”
