Winter fun day proves to be a big hit
More than 500 children flocked to Chorley Town Hall on Saturday to take part in a host of activities as the annual event returned.
There were Punch and Judy shows, video games, arts and crafts and other entertainment, including the chance to decorate recycled bicycles to be placed along the Chorley Grand Prix route next month.

Information was also provided about activities around the borough for children and young people. The event was organised by Chorley Council to bring families and children together and promote the importance of play.
Coun Bev Murray, who oversees children’s activities for the council, said: “We are delighted to see so many families coming out to enjoy our free Playday with many of them staying most of the day and commenting on how much fun they have had.
“Winter Playday is a great opportunity to enjoy a free day and find out some useful information on local support services and we would like to thank all the support groups that came along.”
