The group is made up of representatives of all of the Chorley district cricket clubs and the U15 side’s success in the Merseyside and South West Lancashire Cricket Partnership Junior Competition earned them a place in the national knock outs.

The U13 side and the U11 side have also taken part in the MSWLCPJC.

The U13s did not make it through, but the U11s must wait for the result of the last round of matches to find out if they are through to the national knock outs.

On Friday, June 3 the U11 team travelled to Sefton Park, Liverpool to take on Liverpool District U11s.

The Chorley team won by 108 runs thanks to captain Louis Johnson of Chorley Cricket Club, who not only scored 102 runs but also took three wickets for two runs off seven overs.

Johnson was supported by Jacob Miller (29) of Mawdesley Cricket Club and Callum Knowles (15) of Euxton Cricket Club.
