Charnock Richard are closing in on the Premier League title after two consecutive wins in four days.

Some might say the best things come in threes well that was the case in the matches.

First up last Tuesday night Andy Westwell’s side saw off Stoneclough with a 3-0 win.

Ace marksman Carl Grimshaw, Andy Pendlebury and Mike Fletcher were among the goals on the night.

They followed it up on Saturday with a 3-0 victory against Eagley thanks to efforts by veteran Andy Roberts, Tom Morgan and Alex Porter. It comes just a week after the Mossie Close side won the Lancashire Amateur Shield.

Charnock top the table by eight points now ahead of Blackpool Wren Rovers with only four matches remaining this season.

The two team meet on May 2 at home.
