The Magpies will discover at around 7pm this evening who they will play in the next round of the famous competition.

Vermiglio's pulled-off one of the shocks of the first round when they came from 2-0 down to beat League One outfit and 2013 cup winners Wigan Athletic 3-2 at the DW Stadium on Sunday.

The boss admits the tie with Wigan had a little of extra spice with the two towns being neighbours and he would be keen to pull another club out of the hat which the Magpies have links to.

"We would either want the highest ranked team left in the draw or the lowest ranked team," Vermiglio told chorleyTV.com

"Maybe a team with a little bit of a link would be good, maybe one of my assistant manager Andy Preece's ex-clubs would be nice."

Preece played a number of different clubs during his career including Blackpool, Carlisle United and Stockport County, who are all in the second round draw.
