Skelmersdale 5, Chorley 2

Chorley are out of the FA Trophy after collapsing to a 5-2 defeat at Skelmersdale.

And it was an ex-Magpie who helped seal their fate - Chris Almond, who left Chorley in August, scored two of the goals.

Chorley had twice led through goals by Jack Lynch and Dale Whitham and were 2-1 ahead at half-time, but Skem fought back, with Shaun Holden, Gerard Kinsella and another ex-Chorley man Tom Ince adding to Almond’s brace in this replay

Skelmersdale now visit AFC Fylde on Saturday week in the first round proper.
