Chorley Football Club is clocking up the pounds courtesy of cars sold by club sponsors the Chorley Group.

The Chorley-based firm, which has car dealerships across the North West, is running a cashback scheme whereby they donate £100 to the Magpies for each car sale they complete on the back of a referral from anyone connected to Chorley FC.

All referrals must be made via the link on the club’s official website at

That could mean anyone from Chairman Ken Wright to a supporter of the Evo-Stik Premier Division club pointing a potential customer in their direction.

Wright has already bought a car himself, along with first-team coach Jonathan Smith and midfielder Jamie Vermiglio.

And with club director Graham Watkinson also getting on board by buying a pick-up truck, the Chorley Group recently handed over a cheque for £500 to the Victory Park outfit.

Andy Turner, managing director of The Chorley Group, said: “As the club’s main sponsors, we already have a financial commitment but we wanted to do something extra to help, so we’ve come up with the idea of the referral scheme.

“For every car that we sell which has come as a result of a direct referral from the club we will donate £100.”

The Chorley Group has Nissan, Fiat, Hyundai and Kia franchises in Wigan, Preston, Chorley, Blackpool and Burnley.
