Ex-PNE midfielder joins Longridge Town
The 38-year-old teams-up again with Longridge manager Lee Ashcroft, the pair having been team-mates at PNE in the late 1990s.
McKenna trained with Longridge for the first time on Wednesday night and could make his debut in their top-of-the-table clash with Fulwood Amateurs at Lightfoot Green on Saturday (2pm).

Hide AdHe previously played at Bamber Bridge, leaving Brig before Christmas after spending a season-and-a-half with them.
It is believed that his move to Longridge will include him doing some coaching - he is currently working towards his UEFA ‘A’ Licence.
McKenna started his career with North End, working his way from the youth ranks to go on and make more than 470 appearances for the club.
He left Deepdale to join Nottingham Forest in a £750,000 deal in July 2009 and went on to play for Hull City and Fleetwood.

Hide AdHis new club Longridge are second in the West Lancs League Premier Division, six points behind Saturday’s hosts Fulwood Amateurs but with two games in hand.
The weekend clash will see Ashcroft and his good friend Tony Hesketh - manager of Fulwood - reunited.
Ashcroft played under Hesketh at Kendal Town for three years, while Hesketh was No.2 to Ashcroft during his time in charge of Northwich Victoria.
