There’s a potential Lancashire derby in the first round of the FA Trophy after AFC Fylde were drawn at home to either Chorley or Skelmersdale

The tie will be played on December 12, while Chorley and Skem stage their replay on Tuesday night.

If Chorley win the replay, then it will mean three meetings between the Magpies and Fylde between December 12 and January 2.

AFC Fylde and Chorley meet in National League North on December 26 and January 2.

AFC manager Dave Challinor will be an interested spectator on Tuesday night for the replay at Skelmersdale.

Challinor said: “I had been planning to go to the match anyway to have a look at Chorley, who we play over Christmas and the New Year.

“It could mean that we play Chorley three times in the space of three weeks.”
