Chorley Ladies resumed to winning ways in the Northern Division One of the FA Premier league and continued their unbeaten run at home with a 2-1 victory over Morecambe.

The first half was a psychological battle and as a result there was little goalmouth action, with the teams still locked in stalemate at half-time.

Chorley made tactical and personnel changes at the break and started the second half at pace.

Ruth Harrison saw an excellent long-range strike kept out with an equally good save.

But the Shrimps keeper was unable to stop another long-range effort, this time from Vicky Coope, sending Chorley into the lead.

Coope whipped it in and Harrison made a charging run to the front post to head into the Morecambe goal to secure three welcome points.
