Chorley Ladies steamed through in the Lancashire Cup by beating Southport Shoreline 8-0 in their rearranged clash.

The pitch looked heavy but Chorley Ladies were quick off the mark and soon took the lead when Gabriella Difalco lofted a shot over the Southport keeper.

Shortly after, Scarlet Smith fired hard into the bottom corner.

And that was soon followed by a training ground move between Janet Dawson and Vicky Coope, finishing with a delightful long-range effort from Coope.

Half-time arrived but Chorley knew there were more goals to come, as Saskia Bowes was strong at the back and Katherine Bonner and Sarah Berry were running things in the middle of the pitch.

Soon after the second period started, there was a lovely crafted goal from Berry.

And that was followed with lovely strikes from Bonner and Coope.

Berry doubled her tally with a neat finish.

And Coope completed the onslaught with a penalty to send Chorley into the semi-finals with a big victory.

They will visit Morecambe in the semi-final on a date to be confirmed.
