Magpies can draw strength from the boys of 1986 - says chairman Ken Wright, who masterminded Chorley famous cup win over Wolves more than 34 years ago
The Magpies entertain the Premier League outfit at Victory Park in a mouth-watering FA Cup fourth-round tie, which is being screened live on BTSport.
The only non-league club left in the competition, Vermiglio’s men would cause the shock of the round if they were to get the better of Nuno Espirito Santo’s men.

More than 34 years ago, Wright was the manager of Chorley, who at the time were in the Northern Premier League. He masterminded a famous win over the men from Molineux.
Although Wanderers, who were managed at the time by Graham Turner, were not quite the force that the present team are now and had fallen on hard times, plummeting down the divisions, they were still an illustrious name in English football.
In an enthralling trilogy of games, the Magpies defeated Wolves 3-0 in a first-round second replay at Bolton Wanderers’ Burnden Park.

“Our games in 1986 couldn’t happen now because of course they changed the rules in terms of the replays,” said Wright.
“But I think the first two games against Wolves, we played okay but I felt we didn’t play as well as we could do.
“That formed part of my team talk to the players for the third game. I said, ‘Listen, we have shown that we can match these and we haven’t played particularly well, so let’s put a performance in and win the game’.
"That’s what we did and we won quite comfortably.”

Hide AdWright has been hugely impressed with the way the current crop of players has performed in the cup and has told them to play with the same freedom which has brought victories against Wigan, Peterborough and Derby in the three previous rounds.
“The players have got to enjoy it and I think they are doing,” Wright said.
“When you see the scenes in the dressing rooms, I think they’re enjoying it and certainly the squad of 1986 did similar.
"They really enjoyed the games and tonight’s tie is one to really look forward to.”
