Coppull United made it back-to-back victories over strugglers Garstang with a thumping 4-1 victory at Blainscough Park in the West Lancashire League Premier Division.

Coppull started the brighter of the two sides and after a short spell of pressure they took the lead.

McPhail, a recent signing from Euxton Villa, rasped a 30-yard shot which flew into the corner leaving the goalkeeper no chance.

Despite Coppull dominating long spells in the game, Garstang found an equaliser through Matty Poole.

In the second half, Coppull went through the gears and dominated proceedings.

The win leaves Coppull in fifth place.

n Richard Wilson was the star of the show claiming a hat-trick as Euxton Villa thrashed Norcross & Warbreck 5-1.

Byron Andrew and Sam Bolton bagged the other goals.

Shaun Gibbs saved early on with his legs but remained largely untested throughout the rest of the 90 minutes.

Wilson bagged his first after 14 minutes when placing a fine short in the corner.

Wilson grabbed his second after the interval before Bolton joined the party.

Norcross hit back through Dan Morris but the revival was shortlived as Wilson claimed his hat-trick converting an

Andrew cross.

Alex Gutteridge and Andrew both missed chances late on but the latter rounded off the scoring heading home a Morris cross.
