CHORLEY FC may be doing the business on the pitch, but it is local firms that are helping them on their way.
The 200 club continues to go from strength to strength, as officials have announced that 141 golden tickets have been sold.
Now, they are calling for one last push until the end of March, to try to reach their target of selling 200 ahead of the big dinner and raffle.
The club are also delighted to announce some of local firms have dug deep to boost Garry Flitcroft’s hopes of a second consecutive promotion to the Blue Square North.
They have managed to sponsor two new signings – a proven striker with an impressive track record at a higher level, and a goalscoring midfielder.
Flitcroft did not want to name the players until they had signed, but he believes they will add to the side.
He said: “Unfortunately, with the financial constraints, we had to get rid of six players this season, and it means that we are down to 14 players.
“This time last year we were able to bring in Andy Teague and Steve Foster, who helped us to promotion, and I hope these guys can do the same.”
