When the two clubs play at Deepdale there are always goals, in 29 meetings dating back to Boxing Day 1933 there has yet to be a goalless draw.

Until last Saturday, the Lilywhites had won their last two home meetings with Brentford 2-0 – rather sedate compared to some others – and 4-3.
In 2017/18, Brentford won here 3-2 but the year before North End were 4-2 winners.
Down in London in the reverse fixture there have been goals aplenty although not quite on the scale seen at Deepdale.

There is a chance this fixture might be put on the back burner next season should Brentford reach the Premier League – also, PNE aren’t safe at yet.
Thomas Frank’s side are comfortably in the play-off positions and should secure a top-six slot.
However, their play-off record is awful. Nine times Brentford have reached the end-of-season knockout and have yet to win a final.
