Frazier Campbell had put the hosts into the lead but a two minute double from Alan Browne had North End in a lead that they defended for the remaining 40 minutes.
Here's how the players did on a wet afternoon in Yorkshire...
5. Andrew Hughes - 7
Rounded out a solid defensive performance from the PNE backline, started game at centre back and got caught out a little for the opener, looked more at home shortly after and at left back.
6. Alan Browne - 8
Was everywhere and deserved both of his goals. Started the game at wing back and had plenty of involvement, scoring twice, and continued to play brilliantly in the middle. Captain's performance.
7. Ryan Ledson - 8
Showed all sides of his game again, tasked with being more of an enforcer alongside Potts. Was combative and mobile and looked to try and make things happen when the. opportunity arose.
8. Brad Potts - 7
In a more deeper role for most of the game, a usual central midfield spot and took to it while despite it being a while since he was there. Has so much energy and could have hit the target once or twice.
