A second promotion came last season when Coventry finished top of League One, the campaign having been curtailed after 34 games.
Mark Robins’ side have settled quite well into the Championship. They sit in 18th place with 23 points ahead of their visit to Lancashire.
On Boxing Day they drew 0-0 with Stoke City at St Andrew’s – the ground they are having to share with Birmingham.

Hide AdReflecting on the game, City boss Robins said: “It was a good point against really strong opposition.
“I thought we moved the ball really well, there were certain times when we played one pass too many.”
Robins was able to start leading scorer Matt Godden against Stoke for the first time since November.
But he will be without Godden’s fellow striker Tyler Walker for the next few weeks.
