Preston North End manager Ryan Lowe knows it is a squad game and was pleased to see players step up on Wednesday night, as his side beat Middlesbrough 2-1 at Deepdale.
Here's what the PNE boss had to say post-match.
5. On Greg Cunningham being thrusted in early on
"I thought he was fantastic, coming in. He hasn't played that for a while. The training, you wouldn't believe - they've been fantastic and they've got to wait for that opportunity. Nobody wants to see someone get injured but when they do, you've got to be ready. I am just pleased for the group. They are going about their business the right way."
6. On having to dig in for the points
"You are going to have to, aren't you? It's not going to go easy all the way; the games we've had haven't been easy. I know we've been winning, but there's a lot of stuff that goes into it - being compact, resolute, not letting them break you down, stepping up at the right times, Fred being on the same page of where shots are going to go and lads getting blocks in. All of that comes into it, but you find a way to win and that's what we've been doing."
7. On Emil Riis scoring two in two
"The reaction, that is a top, top finish in my eyes because the shot off Keano ricochets. Most strikers would just give that up, but he's on the front foot, seen it, got there and powered it into the back of the net. What an occasion for him to score, after all that time out."
