Riis was back at Euxton for training on Friday ahead of Sunday’s Deepdale clash with Cardiff City (12pm).
Neil said: “The first day Emil joined us after he signed he was still waiting for his test results so couldn’t train with the lads.
“He trained the next day which was the day before the Brentford game, so the session was quite light.
“Immediately after that game he was away again to Denmark.
“It’s liked we signed someone and then he vanished.

“So in a two-week period he is going to have only had three training sessions, two of which are match day minus one.
“It will be good to get some time with him and get Emil used to how we do things here.”
In the coming weeks Riis will get plenty of time with his PNE team-mates.
