Northern Premier League champions Chorley have announced that skipper Andrew Teague and forward James Dean have signed new contracts with the club.
The popular duo put pen to paper yesterday, Monday, much to the delight of the Magpies’ fans.
The experienced Teague has signed a two-year contract while Dean has signed a one-year-deal.
Teague said: “It was never in doubt. I always want to sign and it never crossed my mind that I wanted to leave the club.
“Last year was a fantastic season and I had no reason to move on.
“I’m happy here and I want to thank Graham Watkinson, Ken Wright and most importantly the gaffer, Garry
Teague hailed the rest of the squad and expects plenty more to sign on the dotted line in the not-so-distant future.
He added: “The gaffer said just after the season finished he wanted to keep us all
“This shows already the commitment we have with me and James Dean signing early and I expect others to sign soon.
“With the correct signings coming in, then I think we’ll do well next season.
“There is no reason why we can’t challenge for the
play-offs with the side we have.”
The club has also revealed to the Guardian the home and away shirts for the 2014/15 Conference North season.
Topflite Loft Conversions will be the home sponsors while the name of last year’s home sponsors Envirocare have moved on to the away shirt.
The club will also be revealing merchandise in the Guardian in the coming weeks.
Vice chairman Graham Watkinson said: “We are pleased to get two key players tied down to contracts.
“Hopefully these two are the first of many and we expect to announce more in the next week.
“We are exploring other options for kit and we hope to have options finalised soon.
“We want to build on last year’s excellent season and I’m glad things have started in a positive manner.”
