Striker Marcus Carver leaves Chorley
Signed from Accrington Stanley in 2016, following a successful loan spell, the forward netted 47 times in 203 appearances and was an important part of three playoff campaigns including the 2018/19 side that won promotion to the National League via the playoffs, scoring 17 times.
“Marcus has opted to take on a fresh challenge elsewhere once football gets back underway and is looking to spend more time with his young family.

Carver added: "I feel the time has come to venture elsewhere and have more time with my new family.
"I have created some fantastic memories with Chorley that will stay with me for a lifetime."
With the cancellation of the season’s remaining fixtures Scott Duxbury, Martin Smith and Connor Hall have also departed, returning to their respective parent clubs. We’d like to thank all three players for their efforts while at Victory Park.
