Michael Jennings is hoping for a good night at Jennings Gym’s next boxing show.

The Coppull-based gym will host their second show on Friday, November 20 at Park Hall in Charnock Richard.

Sanctioned by the Amateur Boxing Association, it is hoped 18 bouts will take place on the night.

A host of boxers aged 10-30 will be in action in front of a bumper crowd.

Eight hundred tickets went on sale and the gym has

already sold plenty.

The gym held its first show in March and more than 300 people turned out in force at Chorley Town Hall.

“We want to try and get as many boxers out on the night,” said former professional

boxer Jennings.

“We’ll have a few skills bouts and we’ve got two girls who we want to get out on the show.

“The Town Hall was a great night, it was a decent atmosphere and hopefully Park Hall is the same.

“It holds 800 and it will be a great atmosphere on the night.”

The gym is well and truly thriving as it now has 31

carded boxers.

Three professionals are also training there in the form of cruiserweight Matty Askin, middlweight Jack Arnfield and light-middleweight

Matthew Hall.

“The gym is buzzing,” Mick added.

“Matty and Jack both have fights coming up and I’m really confident for both of them.”

Tickets for the show can be purchased at the gym, which is at Coppull Mill, Mill Lane, or you can contact Mick through the Jennings Gym Facebook page. Adult tickets are £15 whilst children can pay on the door for £7.50.
