Steve Bruce sacked as Aston Villa manager after draw with Preston North End
The under-pressure boss has left Villa Park after fans made their feelings known towards Bruce during an eventful clash with the Lilywhites on Tuesday night.

Hide AdOne fan went as far as to throw a cabbage at him ahead of the game with supporters then calling for the manager to go during the match.
Bruce’s departure comes two years to the day since his predecessor Roberto Di Matteo was dismissed after his Villa side lost 2-0 to PNE at Deepdale.
Coaches Colin Calderwood, Steve Agnew, Stephen Clemence and Gary Walsh have also been dismissed with immediate effect.

Villa are currently 12th in the Championship.
