Stuart Maconie brings The People’s Songs to Lancashire this month.

Stuart will talk about his recent book and epic radio series, The People’s Songs, a social history of modern Britain told through pop singles.

He tries to tell the story of modern Britain through the records that we listened to from the Second World War to the present day.

As well as acclaimed official biographies of Blur and James, he is also one of the UK’s top selling travel writers, with books such as Adventures on the High Teas bringing comparisons to Bill Bryson.

Tickets for The People’s Songs at Lancaster’s Duke’s theatre on Friday, February, 28 are £14/£12 concessions.

The Dukes new comedy season also includes: Kriss Foster & Friend (February 22) and Andy Kirkpatrick (April 5).
