Wristbands are now on sale for the return of Chorley Live.

More than 4,000 people enjoyed two days of live entertainment in venues across the town centre last year.

Chorley Council is again teaming up with the Creative Network to organise this year’s event, which will see 200 live performances in 25 venues across the town centre on October 3 and 4.

People are being encouraged to get their wristbands to get entry into every venue on both nights for £5.

Coun Peter Wilson, deputy council leader, said: “Last year was the first Chorley Live and it was a brilliant success with people of all ages coming to enjoy live entertainment in the town centre.

“People were amazed to see the number and variety of performances on over the weekend last year and this time it is going to be even bigger with another five venues added to the line-up.”

Chorley Live will be held in a wide variety of venues including pubs, libraries, churches, cafes and restaurants and there will be something for everyone, including families and young children.

Nigel Stewart, of the Creative Network, said: “I was completely blown away by the success of last year and Chorley Live 2014 will be even bigger and better.

“Whatever you’re planning to do that weekend, come to Chorley because you will have a fantastic night out in a very enjoyable atmosphere.”

There will be live performances at 7pm, 8pm, 9pm and 10pm at each venue.

Wristbands are on sale at each venue, from the acts taking part, the Creative Network or the council’s offices on Union Street, Chorley.
