Marking Lancashire Day, three funny women are coming to Chorley for a night of fantastic stand-up comedy with a Northern twist.
Rising stars Hayley Ellis, Katie Mulgrew and Lucy Beaumont have joined forces for a show which highlights their unique takes on the world, hilarious stories and material that has won rave reviews and awards across the land.
Manchester-based Hayley’s natural warmth and girl-next-door charm make her impossible to dislike, and she comes with sharp lines and self-deprecation.
Lancashire’s Katie Mulgrew really likes making people laugh, whether at regular club gigs up and down the country, supporting The Boy With Tape On His Face or just at home with her comedy-savvy family.
And headliner Lucy Beaumont’s blend of surreal offbeat humour saw her win the BBC New Comedy Award and get nominated for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2014.
Her sitcom ‘To Hull And Back’ is currently being developed into a full series for BBC Radio 2.
And Arthur Smith calls her ‘The next Victoria Wood in the making’.
Tickets to see ‘Funny Northern Women’ at Chorley Little Theatre are £12 (£10 concessions) from Malcolm’s Musicland in Chapel Street, or by calling 01257 264362.
They take to the stage on Friday, November 27, at 8pm.
