Get your lungs ready to singalong with Fratelli’s Chelsea Dagger in Preston.
The Glaswegian trio, who have sold more than a million albums including 2006’s number two Costello Music, play 53 Degrees Friday, November 22.
The BRIT Award winners, Best Breakthrough Act 2007, have a whole hostb of songs that seep into everyday – Baby Fratelli was played in British blockbuster Hot Fuzz, Flathead featured on the original run of Apple iPod ads, and the anthem Chelsea Dagger has appeared everywhere from beer commercials to sports arenas.
NHL fans will recognise it as the official goal song of the Chicago Blackhawks. Chicago Symphony Orchestra Conductor Riccardo Muti even created an orchestral arrangement of the song for the 2013 Stanley Cup.
The band’s second album Here We Stand won The Fratellis Best British Band at the 33rd Silver Clef Awards.
The Preston date follows a break – during which frontman Jon released Psycho Jukebox – with the band promoting a new album, We Need Medicine, which was released on Monday.
Tickets cost £23 and are available at www.53degrees.net.
