Blackpool Grand Theatre have just added another ‘Thriller’ of a show to their impressive 2017 schedule.
Direct from London’s West End, where it’s currently enjoying its record-breaking 9th year, Thriller Live is a two-and-a-half-hour concert celebrating the music of The Jackson 5 and the solo work of Michael Jackson.
The show enjoyed a week at the Grand in 2015 and due to popular demand, it is returning for another week-long run between Monday, November 13 and Saturday, November 18.
Since 2009, the show has been seen by more than four million people, in more than 30 million countries and it promises to take Blackpool audiences on a ‘visual, audio and electrifying journey through the magic of Michael’s 45-year musical history’.
A spokesman said: “Experience over two hours of non-stop hits from pop to rock, soul to disco as the cast pay homage to Jackson’s legendary live performances and innovative dance moves executed with flair, precision and passion, this is a show that you will never forget.”
Those ‘non-stop hits’ will be performed live by the cast and a full band, and include the likes of I Want You Back, ABC, Can You Feel It, Off The Wall, The Way You Make Me Feel, Smooth Criminal, Beat It, Billie Jean, Dirty Diana, Bad, Rock With You, They Don’t Care About Us, Dangerous and, of course, Thriller.
Andrew Howard, Marketing manager said: “It’s a delight and honour to have one of the greatest Michael Jackson Concerts back in Blackpool at The Grand. Thriller Live will be celebrating its fifth visit. Having received rave reviews on every visit and taking customers through the magic of Michael’s 45 year musical history this is a show that never disappoints and is over two hours of beat-it non-stop entertainment.
“The theatre is a buzz with people dancing in the aisle and enjoying every single song the superb cast perform. Blackpool we hope you’re ready for one of the greatest touring shows around today. So come on, we want to Rock With You and look forward to welcoming new and returning residents.”
